The International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines [formerly the International Coordinating Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines or ICCHRP] is a global network of organizations outside the Philippines, concerned about the human rights situation in the Philippines and committed to campaign for just and lasting peace in the country.
International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL)
The International Association of Democratic Lawyers is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with consultative status to ECOSOC and UNESCO. The IADL was founded in 1946 by a gathering of lawyers who had survived the war against fascism and participated in the Nuremberg Trials.
The National Lawyers Guild (NLG) is a public interest association of lawyers, law students, paralegals, jailhouse lawyers, law collective members, and other activist legal workers, in the United States. The group was founded in 1937 as an alternative to the American Bar Association (ABA) in protest of that organization’s exclusionary membership practices and conservative political orientation. They were the first US bar association to allow the admission of minorities to their ranks.
IBON International is a service institution with an international character and scope of work. In our advocacy, we cooperate mainly with social movements and civil society constituencies in all regions of the world, especially in the global South and among marginalised groups. IBON International works with a broad range of CSOs, directly and through networks and partnerships, in building consensus on development issues. We help them bring this consensus to wider global arenas through engagement in international processes.
